Can You
Help? We
currently have 140 Hospital Children without a "Hospital
Dad". We are
working on finding a Hospital Dad for each of them. We
have Shrine Kids all
over the Za-Ga-Zig area.
What does
a Hospital Dad do?
Simply stay in touch with your assigned Hospital Child and
parent(s), send birthday and Christmas cards, invite them to Shrine events like the
Easter Egg Hunt, the
Shrine Circus, Family Picnic, Shrine
Football Game, and the Shrine Halloween
and Christmas Parties. If you want to get
your Shrine Child a
birthday or Christmas gift, that is entirely
up to you. Just
be a Shrine friend to them and their families. The
"Shrine" often seems
like a complex organization to them and you can help
them out. You don't have to be an expert on the Shrine yourself, we will
help you answer their questions and concerns. We
don't get involved in their treatment or appointments, simply
refer them to the Shrine Center office in those cases.
